Bhumika Chawla
Bhumika Chawla is an Indian TV-actress, model and film actress. She was born on August 21, 1978 in a Punjabi family. She has one sister and one brother and she is youngest among siblings. Her early life was in New-Delhi and she completed her schooling there, then in 1997 she moved to Mumbai to start her showbiz career. At start she worked in commercials, several music videos and a TV series. Her work drew the film directors’ attention towards her and she stepped into film world.
Her debut film was in Telgu, “Yuvakudu” released in 2000, but her first box office hit was Khushi (Telgu) in 2001. After these she acted in different Telgu, Tamil, Punjabi and Malayalam films. But she was recognized internationally after her debut Bollywood movie “Tere naam (2003)” with Slaman Khan. It was the biggest hit of the year and it gave Bhumika several awards for her brilliant performance.
She got married on October 21, 2007 with her Boy friend Bharat Thakur who is well known Yoga expert in India.
Currently Bhumika is doing Telgu, Tamil, Punjabi and Hindi films. They are under production. Hindi films include “Naam” and “Classmates”.
