Death by Chocolate Ice Cream

Death by chocolate chip ice cream is an ice cream for all the intense chocolate lovers. If you don’t like the intense flavor of chocolate just skip the coffee part. You don’t taste coffee in this ice cream it is just to enhance the flavor of the chocolate.

Ingredients

1 and 1/2 cup cold sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup cocoa powder
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp coffee powder
1 tbsp hot milk
Recipe for sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 and 1/2 cup powdered milk
1 tsp of vanilla essence
Pinch of salt

Procedure

Sweetened condensed milk:
In a sauce pan add milk and bring it up to a boil, add sugar and mix it. Gradually add powdered milk and stir well. If it becomes lumpy, just use whisk to smooth it out. Take off from the heat and add vanilla essence and pinch of salt, mix well and set aside to cool down a bit. When it cools down completely, put it in the refrigerator and let it cool completely.

Chocolate ice cream:
In a small bowl add coffee powder and hot milk mix well. Take a bowl add condensed milk and cocoa powder. Mix well. Now add coffee and milk mixture and whisk it well.

In a big bowl add your chilled cream and whip cream up to the stiff peaks like it holds its shape. Gradually start adding chocolate mixture and mix gently. Add chocolate chips and mix.

Add it in the container and let it sit in the freezer for 3 hours. After 3 hours take out and mix the whole mixture while it is semi frozen. Now close the lid and put it back in the freezer overnight or minimum of 8 hours. Serve and enjoy.
