Natalie Portman (born Natalie Hershlag on 9th June, 1981) is a famous American actress. She had dual Israeli and American citizenship. Natalie Portman made her film debut by a French action film “Leon” in 1994. Her major success came when she cast in star war prequel trilogy; she secured her position in Hollywood after this film. In 1999, Natalie Portman enrolled at Harvard University and continues her acting career as well.
In 2000, Natalie Portman she made her debut in Public Theater. She acted in Anton Chekhov’s production, “The Seagull”. In 2005, she won a Golden Globe award for best supporting actress in the drama film “Closer”. Natalie Portman appeared in several notable films in the next few years. Some of them are “V for Vendetta”, “Goya’s Ghosts” and “The Other Boleyn Girl”. Natalie Portman was part of the jury for 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival. She was the youngest member of the jury.In 2008, She make her debut in direction with a short film named “Eve”.
