Pound cake recipe

The ingredients of this recipe are pretty basic and these ingredients are common pantry staples. Bake this cake, dust it some powdered sugar and here you have a awesome dessert with very simple pound cake recipe.

For 5 by 2 ½ inch loaf

Pound Cake recipe Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour
1/8th tsp of baking powder
1/16th tsp of baking soda
1/8th tsp of salt
2/3 cup of sugar
1/4th tsp of vanilla essence
1/3 cup of unsalted butter,soften
2 eggs at room temperature
1/3 cup of milk

Procedure

Take a bowl add butter and sugar,mix them together with the help of whisk or an electric mixer. when they get smooth and creamy add eggs one by one, whisk them for about 2 to 3 minutes or until they get pale in color. Mix in the milk. Add all the dry ingredients flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Also Add vanilla essence.  Mix these ingredients just to combine everything.
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease your loaf pan with butter and place a parchment paper on the bottom of your pan.
Now pour all the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake it for about 45 to 50 minutes or so. Keep an eye on it.
