Honey Mustard Tilapia

We love tilapia at our house because it is such a mild tasting fish and usually doesn’t break the bank. This is a quick go-to recipe of mine for those week nights after work when you just don’t feel like fussing too much in the kitchen for dinner, or you don’t have much time to cook. Sometimes I like to add more lemon juice over the fish after it is served. You can substitute any other mild tasting fish with this glaze. I have even tried it on salmon in the past and it still tastes great.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoon lemon juice
4 tilapia fillets
1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper

Procedure

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2. In a small bowl, mix honey, mustard, and lemon juice. Season fillets with lemon-pepper and arrange in a medium baking dish.
3. Spread the mixture over the fillets, making sure to coat evenly. Bake for 15 minutes or until fish easily flakes with a fork.
4. As for side dish suggestions, this dish goes great with some rice pilaf and some fresh steamed veggies.
