Granola bars

A healthy oatmeal protein bars. A no bake easy to make recipe of oatmeal. Recipe consists of very few and basic ingredients. Basically there is oatmeal, peanut butter and honey as a binding agent. Honey and dates give this dish a sweet taste. In nuts, almonds are added in this recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup oatmeal
2 tablespoon peanut butter
3-4 tablespoon honey
6 dates
¼ cup crushed almonds

Procedure

In a pan add oatmeal and dry roast it on medium heat. It will take about 5 to 6 minutes or until fragrant. Take them out and set aside. In a bowl add peanut butter, honey and dates. Add almonds and mix well. Add toasted oatmeal in the peanut butter and mix, if you find you mixture is too crumbly add honey but very little amount at a time and stir it well. Take a pan, line it with some baking paper. Add mixture in the pan and spread evenly. Keep it in the fridge for 6 hours or overnight. Next day take out remove baking paper, cut into slices and serve.
