Easy and Simple Cinnamon Rolls from scratch

Cinnamon rolls are sweet and full of flavor buns. Cinnamon rolls had a delicious cinnamon filling in the center. Cinnamon rolls dough is light, buttery and melts in the mouth. When you try it in your home, your home will smell very pleasant and delightful. And cherry on top is it’s cream cheese glaze.

Ingredients

1/4 cup warm water
2 and 1/2 tsp instant yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar
4 and 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
Cinnamon sugar mixture;
3 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 cup butter to spread
1/4 cup butter to brush on top
Cream cheese glaze;
2 tbsp cream cheese
1/2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence

PROCEDURE

1. Add warm water in a small bowl. Add instant yeast and sugar. Lightly stir it. Cover it and set that aside for about 5 minutes.
2. Melt butter and set aside to cool a bit. In a bowl, add an egg and beat well. Add milk, salt, vanilla essence and melted butter. Mix well. Add yeast mixture and stir well.
3. Gradually start adding all purpose flour and keep on mixing. You may need bit more but add very small amount of flour at a time.
4. Mix well until it comes together. Once it comes together knead it well for about 8-10 minutes.
5. Oil the same bowl and put the dough in the same bowl. Wrap the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit in the warm spot for about 1 and 1/2 hours or until dough becomes doubled in size.
6. After dough becomes doubled in size, take out from the bowl and spread evenly on working surface. Remove all the air bubbles.
7. Shape it in a rectangle. Add softened butter on the dough. Leave 1 inch border around the edges. Spread evenly cinnamon sugar mixture on the dough.
8. Roll down the dough into a cylindrical shape. Pinch the corners and put that pinched side down. Using sharp knife cut it into 12 equal size pieces.
9. Take 10-inch round baking pan. Line it with baking paper. Brush some butter on the surface and around the edges.
10. Put all the pieces in the pan. Cover it with plastic wrap. Leave it on a warm spot for about 1 hour or until they become doubled in size.
11. Preheat oven to 180°C. Remove the plastic wrap and brush some butter on the top. Bake for about 25 minutes. Take out and set aside to cool a bit.
12. In a bowl, add powdered sugar, cream cheese, and softened butter. Mix well. Add vanilla essence and stir it well. Add that glaze on top of warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
