Chicken Kaleji Masala Recipe

Chicken livers are as tasty as mutton and beef livers. But chicken livers are softer than mutton or beef livers. Chicken livers take less time to cook. Chicken masala livers is a traditional spicy and sour dish. In order to make soft chicken liver, add salt in the end of the dish as I did in the recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken liver
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 large onion,chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds
6 cloves of garlic
1/2 inch piece ginger
2 large green chilies
2 tsp of coriander seeds, crushed
4 medium sized tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp of garam masala
1 tbsp of salt
1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander

Procedure

1. Take a big pot add cooking oil. On medium flame preheat oil, add cumin seeds and chopped onions.
2. Cook onions on medium heat until they turn light golden in colour.
3. Grind your ginger, garlic, green chilies and coriander seeds. Make a paste.
4. Add that paste in your cooked onions. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir well and let it cook for 3 minutes.
6. Add chicken livers and stir gently. Cover it and let it cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until oil separates.
7. Add lemon juice, garam masala powder and stir. Add salt and stir well.
8. Add fresh green coriander, stir and serve hot.
